Importance of Refrigeration Engineering
February 3rd, 2009 byYou may be wondering just why you need to know about refrigeration engineering. The answer is simple. If you plan to operate your business in a moder world, you need to be able to transport and store your goods in the best manner possible. If you have anything that is remotely perishable, then you really need to have a working knowledge of refrigeration.
There are a number of options for industrial refrigeration systems. They are all fairly simple on the surface. They just work by removing heat from a gas and then cycling the cool air throughout the system. It’s all basic science at the forefront. The only real difference would come in the actual size and state of the system. If you are a major dealer with a need for a lot of refrigeration space, then you are going to need something with a lot of space and staying power. Others might need a fluid that offers a particularly cold temperature.
Most industrial use falls to ammonia refrigeration though. This is just a practical and fairly cheap method to cool a large area quickly and safely. There are some dangers with the possibility of an ammonia leak, but qualified professionals will minimize this with a proper installation.
